Reverse Aging

What if humans could turn back their age? It might be the future we all dream of.

At 120 you could turn back like to your 90s. You could live at 60 like at 20-year-old. Reversing human aging would be a major revolution in human health science.

Researchers have used oxygen therapy in a pressurized chamber to reverse biological aging. Aging stems from longer chromosome telomeres and cellular degeneration. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) has been used for almost a century to treat a wide range of diseases, including decompression sickness in scuba divers and carbon monoxide poisoning. In terms of genes it could add 25% to our lifespan, affecting cell metabolism.

But many factors affect human life expectancy, which is shortened by smoking but extended by reduced calorie intake and regular exercise.

Anti-aging technology is a popular solution. There are increasing clinical trials of new stem cell therapies for diseases such as heart failure. All these different hopes for anti-aging can bring a new alternative for humanity.

Implications for the future

- People's longevity will dramatically distort social structures. People aged 100-200 will emerge for studying physical, mental, and behavioral functions.

- While some have access to cutting-edge innovations, others won’t have access to basic factors, bringing a disparity in healthcare.

- Interfering with cell aging could lead to uncontrolled cell reproduction, resulting in cancer or even new diseases.
